A love job! Renovate an existing 1940′s solid brick house on a small site, long left to its own devices.
The brief: retain the unique ‘swellegance’ of the existing dwelling ; juxtapose with a slightly ‘punk’ approach; maximise connections to the garden areas.
The solution:reduce original footprint; a new deck with outdoor ‘folly’ -outdoor shower and dunny!; open the kitchen to living and dining; flexible storage; walls become storage unit; a playful bunk bed dividing wall
Once reconfigured , the house which seemed too small now seems more spacious with less.
